Notice – Because the radio ministry will be unable to go forward, the funds that were put into the radio ministry account will not be able to be used for that purpose. Suggestions have been made that those funds be used for local evangelistic efforts/advertisement for evangelism. If you donated to this account, please make your wishes known to the church treasurer. Thank you for your support.

Our next board meeting will be held on January 14 and subsequent board meetings will be scheduled for the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

Are you interested in being a part of this year's Christmas Behind Bars program? If so, contact Lynn Miller who has scheduled visitation at Monroe County Jail for Friday, December 20th, at 6:00 p.m. He will be able to take up to 14 volunteers with him. He will need names and birthdates of all individuals that would like to help, as soon as possible, so they can do a background check. They are going to allow us to sing Christmas carols this year, so we are hoping to get a good turn out. Thank you!

The Bloomington/Martha Street church is doing Thanksgiving food baskets. If you would like to participate in this ministry, you can purchase the needed items and either take them to the church, to Dan and Ann Jaramio, or bring them with you on Sabbath to be taken in bulk to the church. You have time get them there up until Sunday, November 24, 10 a.m. Items that are needed are:
bags of russet potatoes boxed dressing/stuffing mix
canned yams cans French-fried onion rings
cranberry sauce canned pumpkin
NOTE: The evaporated milk and mushroom soup are no longer on the list. Plenty has been donated. Thank you!

The Eastview church family and friends are invited to the Rubas for a social on Sabbath, November 23 at 5PM. We will have sundown worship followed by a pitch-in supper, fellowship and table games. No cinnamon items for the pitch-in please.

There will be no church service at the Eastview SDA Church this coming Sabbath, October 12, 2013. Please return to fellowship with us next Sabbath, October 19. Dr. Adrian Peterson will have the sermon and Adventist Christian Elementary will be doing special music with hand bells.

On Sabbath, September 28, there will be a church growth and long-range planning meeting following the regularly scheduled fellowship dinner. Please plan to stay for this important meeting.

Just a quick reminder that we will be having our regularly scheduled fellowship dinner this Sabbath. We will be doing a potato bar, so bring whatever you like to put on baked potatoes or whatever you like to eat with them - chili, broccoli, sour cream and alternatives, olives, cheese, etc. Salads, soups, whatever you think sounds good.
If you want to let me know what you are bringing, that will help us know what is covered and what we still need to fill in with.AS4C will be joining us for dinner, so please plan to stay and visit with our young people. -
Thanks for helping ACE with our Bible, science, social studies, and art projects with your recyclables..
At this time we have enough of the following:
egg cartons
water bottles (all sizes) (you'll see these in use in the next newsletter!)
milk jugs (if you already have them saved for me, bring them in, I could use just a couple more)
Plastic Nutter butter/teddy grahams containers (the $1 kind) (again, if you have them for me, send them in. I can use them another year)
Still needed:
buttons of all shapes and sizes
paper towel rolls and toilet paper rolls (I nearly have enough of these, a couple more weeks should do)
plastic frosting containers
clorex wipes containers
tennis ball containers
pringles containers
plastic cotton containers ($1 kind or $3 kind)
plastic six pack rings.
Please don't go out and specifically purchase any of these. If you use these products, just send in the empty containers. Thanks so much!
ACE -
There will be a fellowship dinner this coming Sabbath following the service. We will be joined by the AS4C students, so don't miss this opportunity to get to know the students who are new to IU as well as to visit with those who already are dear to us. Spencer SDA Church is having an auction in mid-September to raise funds for a mission trip to Belize. The auction will be held in the gym at Timber Ridge Camp.
If you would like to help, the following are items that you might consider donating:
- Kitchen items, small and large appliances
- Computers, TVs, DVD players, and other electronic equipment
- Camping, sporting, and exercise equipment
- Lawn and garden equipment
- Furniture
- Antiques and collectibles - Book collections
- Tools, paint sprayers, power washers, generators, air compressors
- Bicycles, motorcycles, cars, trucks, boats
- Lawn mowers, tractors
- Good used or left-over building supplies
